Real Estate Timing for the Seller

Torelli Realty real estate agent Anne McCasland recently experienced the joy of good real estate timing. She had a listing on a property that had a special circumstance: the seller decided to list the home in May 2010 and was unable to move until December 2010. Timing in real estate deals can be very stressful for buyers and sellers. This client decided to list the home over six months ahead of schedule in hopes of avoiding headaches.

Of course, many buyers want to in right away so a wait like that can be a turnoff. Luckily, the perfect buyer came along. This buyer always wanted to live in the Mesa Verde Inner Loop and fell in love with the charm of the home. In fact, it reminded him of his childhood home. In this case the house was worth the wait.

Since the buyer and seller were so pleased with the arrangement, Realtor Anne McCasland took them both out to dinner at local restaurant. The seller of the home entertained the buyer with stories and the buyer was thrilled to have the chance to hear all about the home from the former owner.

From ‘I Hate Realtors’ to Flowers and Dinner!

I Hate Realtors!

Everyone knows somebody who hates Realtors. There’s a variety of reasons:

-Some view them as greedy and just out for a commission

-Some think they don’t do enough work to justify the compensation

-Some think the job is too easy and doesn’t require a professional

-And some people have had a lousy experience with an agent and vow never to work with one again.

Finding Middle Ground

Whatever the reason, these objections are real and real estate agents face them all too often. In fact, we recently had a client who claimed to hate real estate agents and wanted nothing to do with us. However, the ice melted because our agent Judy Reyes made a positive impact. Her kindness and experience made the difference.

Costa Mesa Farm Sports Complex – Lights On!

The Costa Mesa Farm Sports Complex will be aglow tonight due to the completeted installation of lights on the 2 soccer fields. This evening there will be a ceremony to celebrate with The City of Costa Mesa and the American Youth Soccer Organization Region 120 (AYSO). AYSO raised $85,000 and for the lights – way to go! This is great news for our city’s youth because they will gain many extra hours of practice time. How many hours? 400 hours!  Join the fun  and watch the lights turn on for at 8pm.
