Costa Mesa City Information

Here is some city information for all you Costa Mesa residents:

  • Youth skate program offered in August at Volcom Skate Park. A week long program from August 25-August 29. This program offers young skaters between the ages of 8 to 12 years old the opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy demonstrations by guest skaters, and the chance to perfect their skateboarding techniques and skills.  Registration for City residents is $75 per person, and $80 for non-residents.  Walk-in registrations are accepted at Balearic Community Center only, located at 1975 Balearic Drive.   • Labor Day block party/street closure request. Costa Mesa is currently accepting block party/street closure applications for Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2008. Twice a year, during the Fourth of July and Labor Day, Costa Mesa residents may request the closing of streets for block parties. Applications are available only by request or through the Costa Mesa’s website. Labor Day application materials must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008.
