Torelli Realty agents who are manning the hole have met a lot of great people who are out today supporting the Costa Mesa youth. Everyone is loving the music and drinking the martinis being mixed at Hole 17. Steve Mensinger has been by all ready and so has Estancia High School principal Phil D’Agostino and Guy Herbert of Anaheim Ducks fame. Herbert even signed autographs for the Estancia Football Team who sent spotters to keep track of the ‘Keep It In The Fairway’ contest.

Costa Mesa Pop Warner Sign Up Event on Sat., April 17

Costa Mesa is a community where youth recreational programs are a priority.  We’ve blogged before about some of the programs at Estancia High School, Costa Mesa High School, and through the Costa Mesa Community Athletic Foundation. Here’s another great program: Costa Mesa Pop Warner (CMPW), a youth football league and youth cheerleading squad for boys & girls ages 5-15. The team, called the Costa Mesa Eagles, is holding an Open House/Registration/Preliminary Weigh-In event on Saturday, April 17, 2010.  Check out the Costa Mesa Pop Warner Facebook page for more information.

For years CMPW has made it a mission to serve as the benchmark for Southern California youth football and cheer programs.  Under the direction of  Steve Mensinger, President of the Estancia Sports Booster Club, the emphasis of the program is not just on smart coaching. An orderly administration and professional structure helps keep the CMPW ahead of other teams and sets a good example for the kids.

Costa Mesa Pop Warner is a great opportunity for our youth to have fun, understand teamwork, accept responsibility, and again – HAVE FUN!  And according to the professional journal Athletic Insight, youth sports offer additional benefits like improved motor skills and increased self-esteem. CMPW also supports “no work, no play” so students must perform adequately in the classroom or they can’t play.  Education first!  Our youth are so fortunate to have recreational opportunities such as these available to them – go Eagles!

Congrats to Valerie Torelli – Nominee for 2010 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award

Each year the Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ) hosts several awards to recognize the people who impact the OC business community in a positive way.  Our very own president and owner, Valerie Torelli, is one of the nominees for the 2010 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award.  Way to go Valerie!

Expert business coach Michael Gerber says that, “The

entrepreneur is our visionary, the creator in each of us.”

The accomplishments that got the attention of the OCBJ acknowledge Valerie’s vision.  In addition to remaining the number 1 real estate office in Costa Mesa year after year, Valerie also makes it a priority to support the community.  Her mission for Torelli Realty includes interaction and integration within the city.  To that end, the company hosts seasonal events like Snow Land that have become a welcome tradition, as well as sponsors local schools and organizations.

This year there are over 100 nominees up for the award.  In a thriving county with so many successful entrepreneurs it’s a privilege to be considered for such a distinction.  On March 17, 2010 five winners will be chosen.  Best of luck to everyone!

5th Annual Mesa Verde Golf Tournament POSTPONED

Unfortunately the 5th Annual Mesa Verde Golf Tournament has been postponed.  The event has been rescheduled for Monday, April 19 due to the forecasted rain for this Monday.  We’re still looking forward to sponsoring the event in March and hope to see you there.  More details to follow soon.

Torelli Realty Sponsors 5th Annual Mesa Verde Golf Tournament

Costa Mesa, CA: On Monday, April 19, we’re going to be at The 5th Annual Mesa Verde Golf Tournament and proud to be one of the sponsors for this worthy event.  In a recent post we let you know that the tournament is going to benefit youth sports in Costa Mesa and will be hosted by the Costa Mesa Community Athletic Foundation.  The goal is to raise $200K to improve the athletic facilities in Costa Mesa, which will greatly benefit our youth.  At the golf tournament, Torelli Realty will be hosting a martini bar at one of the tees plus we’re going to have a fun contest on the fairway.  Who’s going to tackle the green?  Any contestants who hit the ball in the fairway will be entered into a drawing and a few lucky people will receive the award-winning Cabernet and Chardonay from the personal wine cellar of Windell and Karen Stout.

The Estancia High School Cheer Squad, who we’ve  been happy to support, will also be at the event to provide some pep.  The day promises to be a great one that will bring future enjoyment to young sports enthusiasts and will improve the community.  We’re all FORE it!

5th Annual Mesa Verde Golf Tournament

We’ve focused a lot of our posts on Costa Mesa’s youth sports teams because of their importance for our children and teens. Here’s a chance for the community to help support them – The 5th Annual Mesa Verde Golf Tournament. The Costa Mesa Community Athletic Foundation is hosting the event right in our neighborhood at the Mesa Verde Country Club on Monday, January 18. The event will raise money to improve athletic facilities for Costa Mesa’s youth. They’re looking to raise $200,000 and it’s exciting to see the community rally together to support our kids. Playing sports isn’t just about having fun and staying fit. These activities also give our youth a chance to learn about sportsmanship and being a team player. Plus, they instill a sense of pride in our city!

In the past, Torelli Realty has sponsored the local schools in their sporting endeavors (see the above photo of the the E-Cart used by the Estancia High School Football team!)

At the tournament, Ed Fawcett, President & CEO of the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce will be honored as Costa Mesa United’s 2010 Honoree. He’s been a longtime supporter of youth sports community in our town. Cheers Ed Fawcett!

The upcoming event is a great way for Costa Mesa to support the children and teens who enjoy playing sports. They deserve upgraded athletic facilities and hopefully this event will prove to be a success.
